Inspired by the work of Lewis Carroll and his poem Jabberwock from Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, Cuckoo Callay is a collaboration of fantastical minds with the dream of producing fundamentally fantastic food and beverages through hard work, passion, and a little bit of thinking outside the box (and down the rabbit hole!)
Whether you're stopping to feed the famished mammoth within, or drowning in the vast tears of lack-of-caffeine-itus, Cuckoo Callay invites you to sit down, put your feet up, and celebrate beamishly as you immerse yourself in their world of silliness, playfulness, and for a brief moment - to not take life so seriously.

Let's get real: Baristas today are the alchemists of yesteryear.
Every day they concoct the elixirs of life that allow us to perform basic functions.
Can't even wake up? Coffee.
Can't even talk? Coffee.
Can't even? Coffee.
Today's brew is from Colombia, which was dark and full-bodied, slightly acidic and broody, and they serve it with a really tiny glass of sparkling.
Seriously, it's sooooo small!!
Right now I feel like Alice at the door, and when she ate that cookie that made her a giant.
Guess I need to drink more elixir...
Today I drank a Cold Drip
Today's filter is Kenyan, which is one of my absolute favourite filter coffees aside from Ethiopian. Kenyan filters tend to be strong and toffee-like with bold fruit flavours, and this one was no different.
Cold Brew vs. Cold Drip - what's the difference and which is better?
A Cold Brew is black coffee typically made overnight in the fridge with ice water.
A Cold Drip is a filter black coffee produced with a special cold drip apparatus using iced water and a 12-16 hour slow dripping process.
While both sound similar, they actually produce quite different tasting coffees.
Cold Brew coffee tends to be strong, punchy and bold, and it can be had with milk or sugar, whilst the Cold Drip method produces a delicate, smooth and silky beverage that is designed to be had on its own.
Which is better? It is up to you to find out!
Today Mr. Cardi had the Bacon Mac Daddy
Double smoked bacon + bacon mac 'n' cheese + 63-degree poached egg + tomato relish + fried shallots in a buttery croissant
This thing is a BEAST.
Look at it, spilling open like that, why it's almost like it's about to come alive and devour us at any moment!
Luckily, our mouths can slay a thousand of these bad daddies, and this Jabberwock shall feast today on this gargantuan manifestation of glutton. Crispy croissant, creamy mac 'n' cheese, savoury smoked bacon, and that runny egg - WOW!
Absolutely slain! Seriously, it didn't even stand a chance!!
Today I ate the Sideways Shuffle
Blue swimmer crab cake with corn & avocado salsa, watermelon, cucumber & lemon jelly and a 63° poached egg
Poor Blue Swimmer Crab, it couldn't shuffle any faster to get away from my plate, could it?
Unlike the colossal creature before it, this little critter may be bit more modest but let's be honest - the star of the show!
Also, who knew egg, crab and watermelon would make such a ridiculously good combo?!
