Another Melbourne gem has made its home in Sydney: Industry Beans
Photography and Review by @kerabeareats
I can still remember my first visit to Industry Beans - first cafe in Melbourne in fact - feeling delightfully overwhelmed by Melbourne’s colourful coffee culture, amazed at all new things I had yet to try... 😊️
I get the same feeling being here at Industry Beans York Street, with my “Bubble Cup” and “Fitzroy Iced”, being reminded of the warm feelings of nostalgia from days gone, but feeling buzzed by their new and inventive creations.
I just love the concept of taking something so unique and making it even more so. This dish is called “Fruit Sashimi”, made with cured rockmelon, wattleseed rice crisp, compressed watermelon, fresh seasonal fruit and of course... caviar and Pannacotta made with COFFEE. Typical of Industry Beans for putting coffee with into everything - love it - it’s definitely uniquely them ☕️
Saying goodbye to my favourite season... *dramatic tear drop* so long Autumn! - but not before my tastebuds reminisce about the time that was... with this dessert from Industry Beans: ‘Autumn’, a spiced apple cake, blackberry nectarine coulis, pomegranate ginger foam, chocolate 'honeycomb', lime curd and coffee caviar. Known for their innovative dishes, I am curious to see what they create next for Winter, and how much coffee they can fit this time 😆
