Mr Shawarma is a Lebanese restaurant in Greenacre, one of the best spots for Lebanese food in Sydney.
Driving through with my friend Izzy, there really is an abundance of great Lebanese eats, clothing stores, markets and loan shops. It felt almost like a whole new world. That is typical in Sydney, you can feel right out of home in your own home.
As soon as you walk in, you will see that Mr Shawarma is a modern and spacious with and open kitchen and beautiful glass windows that open to the world outside. The kitchen is open, including full view of the spits. For those who don’t know, Shawarma means thinly sliced cuts of meat, like chicken, beef, goat, lamb, and sometimes turkey.
I wanted to try something especially signature, so they made me the Meat Wraps with various meat fillings. Normally they don’t offer customers this option in their menu, but it was a great way for me to try everything in one go. I very much enjoyed my dish, I loved the tender meat inside combined with the sauce wrapped in the soft flatbread. The coleslaw was a great palette cleanser between bites, and who can say no to fries.
If not obvious, the service was spot on - I appreciate when staff can go above and beyond even if it’s not necessary.
Plenty of on-street parking and buses along the main shopping strip.
Facilities are clean and on the premise.
Definitely would return again to try something else.
