Always a good time for a sushi train.
I have always enjoyed sushi train; it’s quick and easy, and I find the rotating sushi conveyor belt to be quite entertaining. There are quite a few Sushi Train franchises in Sydney, but today I will be in Maroubra, where I hear the restaurant is headed by a very talented sushi chef with decades of experience handling sashimi and yakitori.
Sushi Train is a very simple concept. Sit down, order a drink, and pick out any plates you heart and eyes desire. Each plate is priced differently, marked by the colour and pattern on the plate. Some plates are more expensive than others, due to the quality of ingredients or complexity of the recipe. One can easily enjoy a cheap meal here, but just as much one can accumulate a large bill, especially if you enjoy the finer things in life!
The food here is actually delicious. We tried a mixture of sashimi, sushi, and flamed dishes and loved every single one of them. But I also loved about the Maroubra restaurant is how incredible the restaurant decor is, as it really sets the tone for Japanese Street dining. I would definitely love to return again.
