It is no wonder why so many people flock to Two Sis - this cafe offers vibrant, beautiful and colourful dishes that are not only tasty but highly instagrammable too.
The chefs work long hours to ensure they are on top of the creative brunch game, and it certainly pays off - on our visit today they were PACKED, and cameras everywhere! They are always at the forefront of trends and brunch plating: matcha and taro desserts, spirulina mermaid tail pancakes, and butterfly pea drinks , and all for a very reasonable price: one meal and coffee will only set you back $25-$30, with an instagram post to take away.
This season’s specials is all about Vivid, which is a colourful light festival that occurs every year in Sydney. My fiancé and I were invited to try Red Bean Waffles with Matcha ice-cream, Spirulina Pancakes with Peanut Caramel sauce, Butterfly Pea Somen with scallop and uni sea urchin, and Bircher Museli. Accompanying our meals was colourful lattes: Spiralina Blue, Matcha, and Jackfruit.
Overall, the food wins more points from the aesthetics than the flavours, but the food is tasty. The Spirulina pancakes taste more like a vanilla, peanut caramel cake than seaweed - good for the sweet tooths. The highlight was definitely the Somen - scallops were cooked nicely and the sauce was delightful.
Service: Excellent, there is always a Hello at the door.
Sanitation and Hygiene: This cafe is always clean and tidy. Restrooms in-house at the back of the cafe.
Ease of access: 10 minutes walk from Darling Harbour, The Star Hotel, with accessible buses to and from Central Station and the Sydney CBD.
Price: Very affordable, can feed a group of 4 people for under $100.
