Venturing out West to see my sweet Juliet.
Our visit was a Sunday morning at 11am - it was a busy weekend and my friends and I were waiting about 15 minutes for a table for three.
We had been wanting to visit West Juliette for a number of reasons:
1. It is one of the highest rated cafes on Zomato with a great reputable via word-of-mouth;
2. The coffee here is supposedly some of the best in the Inner West;
3. The food here is not only exceptional and exceptionally outside the box.
The interior has a nice vibe - rustic, cozy & homely, nothing showy just a nice corner-shop with understated character.
My Long Black was alright, when it had arrived it was missing its crema, and it was quite acidic at first with a slightly bitter finish, but it grew on me. However, not looking good so far to be some of the best in the Inner West... (-.5)
The WINNER was the Pork Belly Benedict. The pork itself was tender, juicy; the meat was practically sliding off one another! The bok choy was an odd addition but seemed to work. We enjoyed the Chicken Burger, however, since having so much Korean styled buttermilk chicken burgers lately we found the Schnitzel quite bland... (-.5) The waffles were nice though.
Despite being busy the speediness of the delivery was great.
Instagram factor: Very minimalist and will give a rustic feel to your photos, lots of morning sun for shadow play, the food is quite flat though - so get your flatlay game on!
Conclusion: Great vibes, okay coffee, good food.
Oh, and did I mention dog-friendly?
Total score on Zomato: 4/5.
